Davis Point Lodge and Outfitting Ltd. is a family run operation which has been in business since 1982. It was started by Peter Kalden at that time. His son, Alex, has been involved in the daily operations since the early 1990's and has taken over the operation in 2006. Our clients have come from all over the world, with the majority from the USA, Sweden and Germany.
We have always prided ourselves on remaining a relatively small operation that pays attention to each individual hunter's needs. Over the years, many of our guests have become close friends, as is evidenced by our large number of return clientele. Our current guides have also been a part of the operation for over a decade.
We have always done our utmost in making your stay as comfortable as possible, while striving to give you the best opportunity at a trophy class bear or whitetail and memorable experience. Outfitting is our full time, year round job. We are all avid hunters and truly enjoy the outdoors.
We have been working closely with Cabela's Outdoor Adventures (now known as Worldwide Trophy Adventures) since 2002 and have formed a very favorable working relationship with them.
Davis Point Lodge has been a long time member of Safari Club International and we have donated hunts to the Northern Michigan Chapter of this organization for the past 20+ years.
